Synth Options Advice Needed

hey guys, im looking into getting a entry level synth, im looking at a micro korg, and im leaning more towards the new (korg)micro x synth/controller. Which have you guys enjoyed, and will these keyboards record directly into the MPC, if not what kind of interface would i need to make it work

I'm getting a microKORG very soon - can't wait

Not sure if a microkorg is a good first synth if you want to really get into synth playing because of the small keys. A good second synth or synth for a guitar player or something though.

but if you already have a full-size midi controller then the small keys aren't even an issue

I got a m audio keystation 49 to use , now no one ever answered, do i need a midi interface to get the keyboard sounds on the mpc???cause ive tried it with reason with no luck, so im just wondering what i need cause no one ever covers that

midi does not transfer audio. at all. ever. none.

to get keyboard sounds into an mpc (or anything for that matter) you must connect with audio cables NOT midi cables

you can record events to the mpc with midi (i.e. the buttons that you press) but to get any sound you have to sample

this i knew, i wasnt sure if these keyboards had audio out or what, i havnt been able to check em out that closely. thanks guys
