i wanna mpc1000 instead of a mpc500.man.....now i have to empty my brain with mpc500 into mpc1000....please help me.i gotta save up my money for it then later a motif or fantom or triton.

What im sayin is,tell me what u think of the mpc1000 and how u like the features and does it have any bugs.if its easy to make ur way around makin beats and stuff!

If you get lucky you might be able to sell your mpc 500 for the same price as a used 1000 if you are saavy and look around.


difference between 500 and 1k has been covered extensively, do a search but I'll cover it quickly

1k is better b/c of waveform edi, grid edit, better step edit than the 500

1k pads sometimes lose sensitivity or fail altogether. I personally haven't had this issue but it is common, but also fairly simple to fix

you almost need to upgrade to jjos ($30) because of OS glitches in Akai os. you can get away with not having it though as many ppl do

overall, the only major advantage of the 500 to me is portability. If you are finee with the tiny screen and somewhat cumbersome menu navigation then the 500 is good for many, but not me personally

isnt the os upgrade for Mac's only.i gotta pc now,but i wanna get a macbook pro cuz its best for producing.+ it comes with logic pro!(i want pro tools though)

i might get mines off ebay (maybe) cuz of the price but thanx.....does the 1000 have bugs? the 4000 had alot thats why they discountinued it.

i havent bought the 500...i was goin too but sumthin happened :( i lost ALOTTA money.i was soo close on buyin it!!!!
