hit or miss really innit,i suppose buying a newer one might mean less chance of gubbed pads, but thats not certain if its been heavily abused...basically check the pictures and make sure its not been beaten about...watch out for **bargains** cause there isnt such a thing

Yup.

One's Black, the other is Blue.

Nothing else different.

they may have used more hot glue when building the pads
but that's not worth spending a nickel more on

buy it real cheap with surface level flaws (bad pads, bad buttons, bad sliders, bad encoders) and repair for cheap

do NOT buy if the screen is bad (more expensive replacement part) or if the machine shorts/doesn't start up properly/restarts in use, etc. these are deeper issues which are more rare but also which i have no experience fixing.

the surface level flaws really couldn't be easier, a seven year old with an erector set has the technical capability of fixing them

I was told the Black one was released after the Blue one so the Black ones had less problems....

Black was released after blue, for the simple reason of bringing the 1K in line with the 2.5K in the cosmetics dept.

No other differences and no fewer problems.
