TIME STRETCHING IN THE 2000?

Is there a time stretching feature in the 2000? I know the s2000(rack version) has it. Looking to get a 2000 for a good price but i like time stretching. If the 2000 doesnt the i may have to cop it AND the 2000, oh boy.

No, only the 2000xl has timestretch, and even that is slow as shit. Just do timestretching on your computer and then transfer the sounds to your MP if you want that feature.

well, see thats the thing..Im trying to go back to hardware because my beat making process and creative flow was slow with the programs. i like the fact of turning gear on and getting to work. I know the s2000 has a time stretching feature and im wondering if the i should just cop both pieces( 2000 & s2000) and use them together.

if your gon do all that u might as well get an xl.

You could always time stretch on a good software application if need be then transfer the sample back into the mpc2000 via zip or floppy.

I just got rid of my 2000, and I think think the 2000XL is the sh*t for real... I don't really need to use the time stretching though...

I don't get it. there's nothing the 2g does that the xl can't do. unless u come across a real lick your better off getting an xl versus getting a 2g and spending more money just to timestretch. there the same machine except for a few features.

there is ONE thing that is better on the classic than the XL and thats the data wheel. They never shoulda change that
