Is it me or does anyone else get annoyed with people that post the JJ OS as a solution for problems in the straight 2500 Forum?

Yes.

And what I get sick of as well is everyone asking why his MPC gets locked up when chopping samples without enough memory. There must be one thread on each page about that by now...

Have you ever thought of the possibility that JJ or JJ's OS could actually be Akai posing?Maybe testing the waters with a newer tech team...ahajavascript:emoticon('')
Idea

Does it make sense to you that they have not pursued him thru paypal seeing as he's making money partly by using the original Akai OS and tweaking it some. LOL JJ is AKAI

2500 >> 2500 JJ OS we're in this together kinda sorta man..you know if JJ OS is totally bug free and say a year from now Akai stops supporting the 2500
which trust me they will do.(if u know akai like most do) Those same guys your pushing away might help you. aw...**** it good luck dude

Switchin to JJ OS is usually a much easier fix than waiting on Nu-AKAI to come around and do it.

The truth is the JJ OS is the solution for some of those problems. What's annoying about that? Better to have solutions than problems. And my 2 cents is it should all be one forum for the 2500.

Right on. One forum for the MPC2500. Its completely relevant to discuss both OS.

And bobbybland got it right also with the 'unofficial' tag over JJ OS. Akai GAVE the firmware source code to JJ. It wasn't stolen because no one is getting sued. It wasn't a renegade reverse engineering feat either. But wouldn't it be smart to have a stuffy corporate OS lagging behind while there appears to be a pirated and improved OS rising from the underground? Don't we look so much hipper for using a ripped off alternative and outsmarting those corporate dudes? Who is outsmarting who here? :)

Cheers,
B

Nothing against the JJ OS at all, I respect the fact that they have done what they've done, but I'm just saying that there are 2 forums for a reason. If what you say is true then I also resent paying money for it.
