not a fan of the vocal sample overtop except at the very end when you start doing some chopping with it.

there's good and bad here.

machine gun hats: -1
gunshot sample: -10. GUN SHOTS ARE REALLY REALLY PLAYED OUT, 100% UNORIGINAL.
"hey" sample: -1.
note-repeat drum fill: -1

positive - gangster worm synth program (another of your nice portamento synth programming that's just at the fringe of the ear) is nice. i'd want to hear more of this from you, but with a different mood (see notes on mood below).

music box melody is kind of nice, reminds me of the soundtrack to batman ii by danny elfman

again, this is bone crusher music, another "southern" castlevania beat...when i think of the south i definitely do not think of this ultra "hard" stuff.

your sound tweaking/preset use is good, and like i said i like what i hear with the synth programming but here's the deal:

each of the three beats i've heard of yours are 100% interchangeable. they all sound hard as icy, factory cut nails -- each one has the exact same mood. there's no fun in this music, no attitude other than "i'll slit your throat."

southern? no. this is crunk for goth kids.

you've got ideas and experience but again, this is not what i think of as south. other than the machine gun hats/drum influences from crunk music (just let em go and program some DRUMS man) this is a "haunted castle at midnight."

to be honest, i cant say i do because i dont like that music

but i can tell if a beat is good regardless of what genre it is
and although i dont like that style of music, ill say that it is a good beat based on the way it was put together and all that

id kill for that 4000 though
