im trying to control a software synth with the mpc 60II. Im using a tascam usb mixer for midi connections.
So ive put the cable from midi A out from the mpc into the midi in on the mixer. Then set the channel on the mpc sequence to synth A 1. Or somthing similar. Now when i press any pad the midi in light goes on the mixer. So that means the midi signals getting to the mixer right?
But when i open up a soft synth in stand a lone mode (not plug in?) the midi light doesnt light up on the computer screen. What am i doing wrong? ive gone to the midi set up on the synth and put the usb mixer as midi input.
Any help would be dope.
