problems after ram expansion

hi, i got an issue, i just installed a ram upgrade, right specs, kingston brand.
after turning on the mpc it sez 128 installed, i get all exited then it freezes, stuck in the 128 installed screen.
so i turn off the machine,turn it back on and it shows the 128 installed screen with sodimm error thru it.
anyone no wats goin on? faulty ram?
any input would be good,

Is it new RAM? No? Prob f'd.

Have you tried re-seating the RAM? Yeah? Prob F'd.

Did you install it with Anti Static arm strap? No? Prob F'd.

Failing all that you could try not getting excited, see if that makes a difference.

i cant help but get exited, endless sample time(pretty much).
i been dreaming of ths for months,it is brand new i got it today for my birthday,... i no... thanks,

just installed new jj os and everything seems to be running fine
