Where do you get good samples from for the MPC1K?

Especially with a computer... don't forget your cd collection. Get the program CDex and rip the files in to your hard drive then chop away with CoolEdit or whatever...

A lady passed me a cd the other day her niece did in Peru of this really nice Spanish guitar with no drums. It was like gold, there's a good 3 songs in just that CD.

Be creative, just figure out a good project and dig in.

big ups to DJWeed for pointing out the Hollowsun link. In regards to me and sampling, all my samples are either drum kits or I sample my own keyboard riffs. I been meaning to sample my voice beatboxing, but didn't think it would come out to clear. Maybe I can play off that. I've heard some great sounds on sample CD's, but that just not my style.
