oh mah gawd, please explain what this is modnar

does this mean it "updates" according to the way you move the data wheel?

before, if you were holding a pad and spinning the data wheel it would only play from the first start/end position - now, does it "update?"

At first I was wondering too, since this worked already in 4.76. But not if LOOP was turned on. Now you can use some sort of "scrubbing" at Start, Loop start and End Points. This is new.

does this take care of the vertical zooming/start/end discrepancy that existed in 4.76?

Yeah, it works fine now Nym.

You know when you're in Trim mode and you go to chop mode and you hit the Slice button and you go to your first Region. If we're @ the start point of the region and want to go the next region you either have to press the cursor to the right twice or press the Slice button again (which zooms all the way out to the whole sample that you're tryin' to slice)? Wouldn't it be nice if we could hold down shift and press the cursor right of left to go to the next region and it still be zoomed in as if you pressed the cursor twice. It would go to the start of the region. And to get to the end point just press the right cursor as usual.
As of right now Shift+right zooms in while in Chop mode, but the Bar button already does that. So I figured we could change to function of the Shift+Right combo.
What do you guys think?

This real dope for loops. When holding own the pad and adjusting the startpoint the sound automatically goes with the cursor. It's like a digital stylus. Say if you wanted to hear the whole sample play fast just hold down the pad turn the jog wheel on the start point and it will play as fast as you turn the jog.

When adjusting the end point while holding the pad it automatically plays a second before the current end point so you can hear how it loops almost instantaneously rather than listen to the whole loop from the beginning just to hear if it loops nice.

This is definitely some good thinking on JJ's part.

^^^ Thats great! Make it so much easier to find the bit you are looking for in long samples.
