I'm into making house and electronic type beats and I Just wanted to get some ideas as to how you guys begin to lay down your full songs on the mpc 1000.
See my problem is that I LOVE making drum loops and simple little riffs. But I usually don't actually ever finish any of the songs I start. Also when I do try to finish a song it usually ends up sounding like a bunch of loops put together.
I usually make a drum loop, a couple of synth and bass loops. Maybe even a couple of vocal loops and then copy them and change them up a bit as the song progressess....
I guess I'm just looking for tips to keep the song making process smooth and flowing so that I may actually start to finish some of these beats that I've made.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks!
