What does this do exactly?

BEFORE:

1 - hit pad to audition sample in TRIM
2 - while holding pad, adjust end point

OLD: sample will play according to state of END when you first hit the pad
NEW: sample will play according to CURRENT state of END

same with start/loop parameters. this is good for start as you can now "scrub" your way to the transient by ear while holding the pad instead of pushing it again and again to "update" the trim

^^
Just got finished testing this out. Not really necessary for me personally...a little annoying in fact. But, I do realize that there are many here that will get pissed if I imply that it is anything short of spectacular.

But...congrats to JJ with another update to fix a JJ specific bug. That's like 19 plus bug fix updates this year!

if jj invent a whole new drum machine his company would strive.

any top notch in here with big cash wanner team up with jj and invent a new drum-machine?

ill buy 3.
1 for my bed room as i like to riddle up a beat at nights before i fall a sleep. my girl don't like it. as i always put her to sleep on the floor. wile me and my drum machine is in bed banging beats and having fun.

1 for my toilet. as my best inspirations come when ever am on the toilet bowl taking a long runy pooh, great for laying down hot tracks as they come to mind

and the 1 for the studio. 3 in total yes 3 for me

also my mates down the road would take 1.

plus peter melon-mouth from the 6th- grade who i heard is now making beats for a well know rapper. he also would buy 5 .

last time i heard that peter melon-mouth was making some pretty good beats. wile wanking his stiffy in his sisters bed, looking at play-boys porn flicks.
any way you would have lots of buyers. so come on chaps team up and make us all a kick-ass drum-machine . one that bounce

I guess I too would want JJ to invent a new drum machine if I was stuck with using an MPC 1000

Instead of being unhappy with the 1000, just buy an MPC 2500 and be done with it. You will be able to make music instead of complaining how much your drum machine suks....

But then again, you use an MPC 2500....so what's your problem?

Well at least we know if JJ released his own machine it would annihilate anything NU-Akai would come up with.

On a sadder note, I sold my 2500 today =(

I will miss the JJ OS. The only thing that kept me holding on to the 2500 as long as I did. Thanks JJ!!!

In the future I might invest in a 1000 for travel purposes, rest assured I will be stuffing that baby up the wazooo with JJ OS.

I hope JJ ever finds a way to increase the polyphony , 32 is a little low , especially if you use a few stereo samples with long decays.
at least 64 would do it for me.

Not even close to being accurate.

^^^ Okay then. Well at least we know for anything Nu-Akai would come up with, JJ would crush their OS.

MPC 2500 cited for accuracy.

The new trim features is *fantastic* -- being able to hear snippets of the end of the sample while moving the jog wheel is such a time-saver. It's like a sonic preview. It's an even better implementation of the Akai version, which I recall did not provide this kind of capability (though it would loop at the new end point while holding down the pad).

Nice work, JJ...
