Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Heres a letter just sent to AKAI in USA any others having these issues??
I dare say after hundreds of non stop hours on the MPC4000 I'm duly qualified to tell you that I now can accurately say that my machine only suffers from 3 major glitches (Still after recent upgrade)

1. When in sample pitch tempo change mode the Current Tempo cannot be altered when changing tempo of a sampled loop only NEW TEMPO can be altered..(this is irritating as the machine never accurately calculates the exact tempo of a loop in the first place although it does come close
and the MPC 2000 and 2000XL DOES IN FACT allow you to change both CURRENT and / NEW Tempo to get exacting results..

2. Sample still locks up ocasionally when trimming samples and will NOT allow accurate close trimming.. this is a royal pain in the ass

3. When attempting to resample with Q-EFX (ONLY ON EFFECT NOT COMMAND MODE WHICH WORKS JUST FINE)
If you select Effect and press DO IT to resample a sample with desired effect (echo, revrb etc..) the sample does not RESAMPLE with chosen effect in its entirety.. the bar goes very quickly across the screen and hence does not complete the affecting of chosen effect over new sample.. also the window that allows you to KEEP, RETRY, OVERWRITE NEVER appears as shown in page 175 of manual.. This is a troublesome glitch.. NOW note that you can apply effects and RESAMPLE in RECORD mode to get desired effect but this is not convenient.. As I mentioned when using COMMAND efx function works just fine..

Please tell me if others are having these troubles
ps Just remixed Turtles - So Happy Together for upcoming Disney Film on the MPC 4000 it was a tougfh job but the machine was up to the task
overall I LOVE THIS Machine!!
Thanks

MINE HAS THE SAME DAMN PROBLEM.... ABOUT 1 OUT OF 20 TIMES I GO TO SAMPLE, I CAN'T TRIM IT ALL THE WAY.... SHIT I THOUGHT I DID'T HAVE THE MACHINE SET UP RIGHT....

HOPEFULLY AKAI WILL COME OUT WITH A NEW OS SOON TO CLEAN UP ALOT OF THE LITTLE SHIT AND GIVE US WHAT WAS ADVERTISED...

OVER ALL.... I DO LOVE THE MACHINE.... BUT, I WISH THERE WAS A BETTER MANUAL OUT THERE.... ANYONE IN THE MASS, CONN, NH AREA WITH THE 4K WILLING TO TRADE MAJOR TIPS .....

THANKS
