3gs, hip hop,beats and record what should i buy???

i have been viewing the forum for a while getting into this whole thing.been making some hot beats on the computer but i want to start getting serious.anyway i wanted to ask you guys what should i get?, i want the 2000xl but i dont know what multitrack i should get and the triton too and also a pretty good mic.what would you guys do with 3gs if you wanted to make hip hop beats and record in your crib.i seen a used dps12 for like 350 thats pretty cheap im wondering how primitive it is compared to the 16 and 24 and all that ,do you think i should buy that since my cash is so limited?

cop racks, module?yeah where brand new for 400?i should have enough for a used triton and a mic right.

dps 12 is only 16 bit while the others are 24 bit....if you got 3gs....def cop a 2gxl.....a good mic and that dps12....or maybe a korg d1600.....you would be more than str8.....you can cop a sound module too....
