PROBLEM PLEASE HELP

having a problem loading V3.07 from HD. The CF card reader is broken so I can't load off that. I downloaded the file onto my computer and then dragged over the file to the MP HD. I can see the file in the HD, highlight and hit do it (F6) and nothing happens. It's like the MP will not read the file. Can someone help with this issue?

Are you uprading from AKAI or earlier JJ-OS?

In your case: check the filesize of the binary file of OS 3.07 on your MPC HD. If it's less than 720 kb (for OS 3.07), then you have an incomplete File. Download it again and replace it with the right one. If this still doesn't work, try the payversion 4.78 just for testing. If your file is okay, try resetting the MPC fo defaults by holding erase, while turning the machine on. If nothing changes I don't know... many more tips.

yeah i guess im pretty much screwed......Right now I have the Akai OS verison 1.03. I tried downloading then reinstalling without any luck. The file is in the hard drive cause I can see it, but the MP will l not do anything when I try to load. Looks like I might have to get the CF drive replaced

yea from the AKAI version you gotta upgrade the old school way...you gotta have the new OS on the CF card and you gotta hold WINDOW while you turn the MPC on
