HARD DRIVE AND MEMORY EXPANSION

What is the difference between getting a hard drive or a memory expansion? Which one should I get or should I get both?

Getting a hard-drive will allow you just to store your samples, alot more of them.
Memory Expansion is upgrading your ram. This will allow you to upload more samples into your MPC, in short it increases your sample time, so you can have more samples running at the same time.

I suggest gettting ram more than anything, i mean even a 1Gb or 2Gb can store quiet alot.

Get both if you can

it's like this: the hard drive is your record collection, sitting around waiting to be heard. the internal memory is how many turntables you have access to and determines how many records you can be playing back in realtime. clear enough?
