My record in on my MPC 60 took a **** on me today. Nothing but distortion is coming through when I try to record into it. I was wondering if i'm able to import sounds onto my 60 buy creating kits with this program. I would be using a external floppy hooked up to my computer then bringing that disk over to my 60. Also, how does formatting work? Do you format the disk in the 60 and bring to the computer or vice versa. Any help is greatly appreciated. If I this can all be possible I would be interested in purchasing the software. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can create programs with this software and export them to a floppy that the mpc will read. You may have a bigger problem besides the rec in, possibly something internal needing replacement. I'd get it checked out; maybe you have a loose connection somewhere.

I use the MPC Editor alot to edit samples to use with mpc later, it a great program (and definitely worth the price).

Thanks for the reply derekam. I've had my 60 serviced about 6 months ago and everything checked out alright. If I move the record levels (mid, high, low) on the back of the machine I can get a clearer sound. Something must be wrong with that switch.
