Slicing samples on mpc 1000

My question is after sampling 8 bar loop and trying to slice into 16 regions on the F5 button. on my mpc i do not see that function?? all it says on the taps is TRIM LOOP and EDIT. Is it that I do not have the EXM installed? I do have a 2gig CF that holds alot of samples.

I am new to this so please let me know what I am doing wrong.
