Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi,

I just upgraded from a 2000xl to a 4000. In the 2000xl you can change a sample to different notes by pressing the 16 Levels button. I was wondering how I can achieve this in my 4000.

Thanks

Im still having problems getting this to work. I have OS 1.40. Do you think that affects my ability to follow your instructions?

In 1.40 You will need to convert your drum program into a keygroup program to play back a sample on different pads and pitches. If you upgrade your OS to 1.51 you can use the 16 levels like Reveal explained earlier.

How do I set up the keygroup properly in order to play the sample at different notes?
