Question on the definition's of Multi's & Saving

I've had my MPC 4000 for exactly one week now and im really starting to get the hang of it, but I still have a few questions on some things being as how this is my first time owning an MPC. Ok so here goes....

1) What exactly does Multi stand for, is it just short for multiple and if so the multiple what? Multiple programs?

1a) Why is there a special Multi button & window on the MPC, when I can just set up multiple parts from the Main/Sequence by going down to the [Track: Out 1:Part Part: 1] section and set up multiple programs right from there while working in my sequence window. Is there an advantage in setting it up in the Multi window 1st.

2) Correct me if Im wrong... When I save a sequence, only the sequence Data (midi notes & timing) is saved and not the programs i was using within the sequence. If i want to save the programs along with the sequence so then can be loaded up together I have to save it as a Multi?

2a) Saving a Multi does not include sequence data? I want to be able to work on things as projects, meaning I want everything I was working with to be saved as one big ass file, so I dont have to be loading up 50 different things to recall the beat i was working on.

To save things as "projects" I need to "Save Entire Memory"? which will save, Sequence Data along with Multi's which of course is where my multiple programs are saved? Multi's are also where mixer settings, effects settings, sends settings etc... are saved?

Basically you are correct

1a you can set up to 128 parts in the Multi. The programs are assigned to the parts later. And you can change the multis which contains your Program edits, Qlink values, and effect assigns.

2 yes and save entire memory if you have more than one multi.
