With my 500 being my first MPC, I now understand what all the fuss was about regarding the classic MPC timing and that loping feel it gives to a lot of my favorite hip-hop tunes.
What I don't understand is why you can't turn the 'swing' all the way down when using timing correct. The value range goes from 50% to 70 something. Why can't you set it to zero? There's no swing at all on the triplet settings - 1/8(3), 1/16 (3), etc. but that doesn't help me when I just want to lock to even note values.
