David Banners Set-Up

I make techno and but I love 'crunk' music - anything by Lil' Jon, David Banner, Lil' Flip, TI, etc I'm curious what those cats use?

Anybody know?

- it seems everybodies into Hip-hop made in the north east or the west coast - knowbody represents the dirty dirty south - whatup!

lil john get on my nerves now. he's good for making the bit*hes shake they azz but he's nobody I trip over...

doesnt matter what equipment u have. its the their style and technique that makes the music sound how it does. well anyway, i know Banner uses a mpc4000..im not sure wut else.

david banner....probably the standard gear, a Triton, Motif and MPC, some samples here and there.

I was watching Making the Band 2 last night and I spotted a Triton with a MPC3000 right next to it - plus a quick screen shot of Pro-Toolz - some studios got all the cheese and some don't - but I agree - You can make a hit on anything from fruityloops to Reason, an MPC, a Korg Triton - what ever right?

Some of the best techno producer just use ACID PRO - anywayz...just curious because I get so much resistance when I bring up David Banner up here in the Northwest - but his sh**'s tight

im not sure about david banner. but im pretty sure he uses the triton. I thin lil flip uses mpc4000, but sounds can be had on the triton easily

But for sure lil john uses the triton. I am talkin 100% here. That telephone ring in his latests songs is a triton preset. He didnt even alter it at all. The wistley sounds and synth sounds are damn near close to. Nothin too difficult to replicate. His drums are basically an 808 kit too.

Im not sure if he uses somthing else to sequence the triton, but his tracks can all be done on the triton alone. If you owned a triton you probably wouldnt think much of his sound, because its really not that hard. I have more respect for him because he exploited that style, rather than his technical skills with the beats.

It's inspiration to write - forget about the politics of being black or white and write something a hot girl would "shake like a dog" too...

I call it strip club music because that's where I hear it the most - besides the Radio

that was not a triton.....it was a roland fantom

I don't own a Triton.
I still don't think much of his sounds.
In fact I hate this **** crunk music or whatever c-rap it is called..
Thank god for labels like Stones Throw and DayByDay for still putting out quality music!

if any body want to see what lil john uses(Not that yall care).....pic up a the latest KING magazine, with Trina Phatt Azz on it. Funny thing is, with all the azz and tittz in this magazine lil john lil studio still cault my eyez and put a smile on my face.

yo, you guys are kind of worried what these mediocore beat makes is usin.....its dosent mater!!!! i know cats wuth thousands of dollars worth of gear ,and they music sound like butt.......on the other hand i know a guy that use a crappy lil casio, and a simple beat machine, and his stuff sound like butter. its not what you got its how you use it. peace and love
