I am used to cutting up my samples in the trim screen on my 2000. You can tap the pad once and the sample plays from the start point to the end point you have selected. On my 1000 I have to hold the pad down. I have upgraded to os 1.04 but I dont see any way to change it. Ive read the manual several times. Is it possible to change this setting in the trim screen?

if ur in the Trim mode you can hit the pads at the top to control which bits of the sample u want to play (Play loop, Play to, Play from.. or something like that)..

otherwise u go to mode -> program -> highlight the sample and press window and set it to one shot. Strange tho coz its one shot by default...

*shrugs*

Yeah, I would think that it would be an option. Its one shot or mono as it is on the mpc 2000. So if anyone knows about this let me know. It seems that is should be possible or at least made possible in the next os update. Why would they change the trim screen note on one shot on this mpc when all the others are the other way. I think at least. I have a 2000 and my roomate has a 2000xl so i figure its the same in the 3000 and 60s. Anyone know?
