aight i been researchin and jus doing my thing.. and this choppin game seem's 2 be the natural progression i mean i got a gang of records wit dope samples and i jus "loop" em and drop drums over em.. but everybody talkin bout choppin this.. chop that.. make ya own track this and that..

..and I"m sayin i know its not 1 way to do something but at the same time i want to expand my ish and knowledge and see where that get me..

but check it, i digress.. this is two beats i done made.. and i want to get yall opinion of HOW choppin would make this "iLLer".. cuz on the realz i'm not seein it...

i.e. how would a choppin expert have gone about on these beats v/s me which pretty much jus straight looped em.., ya feel me on my question?

http://d01.megashares.com/?d01=115818e

I'm jus tryin to use yall feedback and input as an opportunity to decide for my self on the merits of the CHOP game..

so yeah let me know whats up

and what yall think of my beats..

Aside from the sound, you def. need chopping to mix things up. Just try, you wont ürpgress if you dont try new techniques, no need for an expert because everyone would do it differently. A good starting point would be the videos posted in the production techniques section.

As an example, on the zelda beat the strings doesn flow well with the beat, small chops with attack and decay turned up would stretch parts of the sample
to fit on the beat.
