How I change the sample bit rate?????

hi, i´m new in the forum and i want to know if the mpc2500 can change the sample bit rate (by example: 16 to 12). thanks..... i know that with the JJ OS exist the option BIT CONVERTER, but i want to know if this is possible with the original OS from the mpc2500.... thanks to all..... and Respec for the forum!

do you have a mpc 2500? -> then open your manual and read...

have you upgraded your o.s.? -> then download and read the addendums...

do you have no mpc 2500? -> then goto http://www.akaipro.com/ and download the manuals and addendums and read...

thanks for your answer.... the manual doesnt specify if you can or not and i know wiith the JJ OS its posible.....and now i know with the original OS is not possible...

there is a bit converter in akai's OS.

in the original mpc2500 OS? i read the manual and i have the mpc2500 and i dont find it.... please tell me how ..? thaaankss againn

untrue. you're probably talking about "bit grunger" in the effect screen, but it's definitely not a bit converter.

well, to me it almost does the same trick. But true, it isn't under the name bit converter.

Houra thanks for your answer but the bit grunger is not exactly what im looking for... but thanks... i´ll try to experiment with bit grunger...... and another question: can i install de JJ OS, use the BIT CONVERTER save my samples in he HD and then reinstall the original OS?..... thanks.... i´m learning too much reading this forum.... you could do that.

you could also live in delaware and have an office in new york, and wake up at 3 am to commute every day. or a home in coastal portugal and commute to madrid every day, if that's closer to the truth.

ok i understand that to change the OS isnt a fast solution.... and for the people who like the sp or mpc60 sound and have a mpc2500... how you do it? with a mpc60, a s950 ......... some cheap solution.... or not cheap

The JJos has the bit converter, ring modulation, more effects, and MORE features then the akai os.

Get JJ.

that's whatI've been thinking .. should I get myselfs JJ don't think so.. you can always have an original akai OS ( updated version) and use some better hardware for FX or anything else. FOr sure AKAI FX base definitely sounds krap..
