Letters and Numbers in Product ID

i have noticed the O (letter O) and the 0 (zero) look the same (in password window). i have just send my product ID to JJ how do I know if it is O or 0 ?
(i was sending my ID with a 0 ,ihope it was the correct one)

i dunno but if you don't get it right, the MPC closes like a bear trap and you can never use it again!

no ,i´m not sure the ID i was sending to jj has the correct spelling .
i will see in some days ... and if its not the ri9ght one i´ll contact jj ,it will be no problem

it's ok, they're both spelt the same in japanese.



j/k i think the 0 is narrower than the o.

had the same problem last night when jj sent the password for my new os. Just try both youll be ok.

There are problems with 'O' and '0' as well as '1' and 'I', because JJ uses an uncool font for his mails, like courier new or something... just give it a few tries.

probably not courier new, that's a fixed width font where the letters are very easily distinguished.

but i think he's talking about the font used in the OS.

usually with serials to unlock software (or even serials for products) 0 is used and O wouldn't get used, just to avoid that confusion. i'd hope that JJ would have thought of that before hand, but everyone makes mistakes. i'm sure if the password you got didn't work you can email back and they'd help you out, especially if it's just confusion between 0's and O's.

yeah , imean the OS font ,when i read out my maschine ID ,there was an O or 0. but i also think the 0 is more probable. i think monday i´ll recieve my password then i will see (it will be so nice to jump from 3.06 to 5.3x)
