Assigning sliders to start/end points when chopping

Yeah well the topic pretty much explains it.
I have this friend of mine witta mpc4000, and when he is chopping samples, he uses his Slider Left to set the start point of the chop and Slider Right for the end point. And he claims that my 2k5 can do the same.
Now i've tried looking up the manual and search the forums without luck.
Is it possible? Please help

Hold the after button and move the slider and it'll move the start or end point. Q-link 1 for the start point, Q-link 2 for the end point.

Yeah i quickly figured that i guess, hehe thanks.
Now is there a way to do this just moving them without holding the After button?

yea that would be tight but i don't think there is

the reason you have to hold the after button is probably so that you don't accidentally bump into the slider and mess up your end points.
