looking into getting a MPC

was wondering what a good beginner MPC would be and how much it would probably cost...

any help is appreciated

The 1000 seems like a good offer even tho I've chosen the 2000XL
Prices... $600-1000 that's pretty sure.

go to your local gear supplier and test them all out. The 1000 has a lot of up to date features and is a very powerful little machine. If you read around a little here on the forums you will see some of the pros and cons of the different mps. Good luck. Choose wisely

my first one was the 500, and i love it!

ive never had any problems with it and its portable too! so if thats a factor, i would get the 500, it costs about the same as a used 1000 on ebay.

i got mine new for like 700 dollars and it came with a bunch of extras like the 128 mb drive and a year long subscription to keyboard magazine and a sample cd. check them out on ebay, therses usually packages like this goin around.
