Yeah u can make it 8 bars. The quickest way i change something from 4 bars to 8 especially if its more than 3 tracks is use song mode. I find the sequence i wanna use and then set it up in song mode and select how many times i want to copy it. Since u want it 8 bars then u copy it twice(2). Now it will ask u where u wanna save it. You can either save it to a new sequence location or write over the sequence(4 bar loop) u just did. Your choice. Once u have copied it over it will say Song 1 or w/e. U can then name it w/e or leave it as is. Thats how i go about copying bars on my mpc2000.

Or you can go to the edit screen. Select edit bars. And add the length there. On the left it will say something like "first bar 1" "End Bar 4" then on the right hand side it will say something like "Copy from" you will want that screen to say Copy from 4. Then you will click on the "do it" button. I hope this helps. I am not in front of th eMPC right now so I couldn't give you the correct lingo. Sorry
