MPC3000 parameters

Can anyone tell me how to permanently tell the MPC3000 to start each new sequence with 8 bars ? I recently (and accidentally) did an INIT PARAM, and now when I go to a new sequence, it's set for zero bars instead of 8 bars like before.

Unless the parameters are "HARD-BURNED" or "BACKED UP TO DISK" then they are never held in a permanent fashion.

To reset the parameters you're asking about.

With the SEQUENCE stopped.

Press ERASE and select <Initialize>.

Initialize a sequence to a different time signature or number of bars, etc in this screen.

The rest will be fairly obvious.

The only true and pemanent way of holding parameters in the system is via "HARD-BURNING" them into the system ROM. ( this way they are reverted to during the INIT-PAR process )

Maybe go over www.mansell-labs.com/products pages and have a look at the "HARD-BURN" option.
