FAQ has been updated with stuff on Pads, MIDI, multitimbral sound modules, and some of the latest updates. I now call this version 1.0. I see a thread on the new Velocity Curve function, let me see if there's anything useful in there...
I've also added a downloadable Blank Project that completely wipes the memory without restarting the MPC.
I'll need to look through the forum to find any "directory error" questions, I haven't seen any myself and can't remember what it was aboot.

Having spaces in file names (particularyly sample names) causes directory errors..i figured this out the hard way..had to rename plenty..

That's really strange... I thought the factory sounds supplied by Akai had spaces in the names, but I've just checked the downloads from http://www.akaipro.com/int/mpc1k/factory.html , they use Underscores (_) which look like spaces when loading.
I've been avoiding spaces in the files I've created, but that's just habit, I also use Linux, where that makes life difficult. OK, that's going in the FAQ.

FAQ updated again, latest additions:
- links at the top to make it easier to navigate.
- file naming guidelines
- swapping samples in a program without having to tweak pads in Program mode.
More suggestions welcome, with as much detail as you can provide on the question/answer.
tanks..!

keep up good work,,,. my suggestion is to adjust some typoghraphic things to become more readable, like changing the colors.

Could you be more specifc? All I can think of is that the spacing is a little dense. Except for the boxes (which get random colors) the text is black on white... I use cascading style sheets on the whole site.

I forgot I did that, it doesn't hardly show up on my (old) monitor. OK, I've taken that out of the CSS - sorted. But the white background is not my fault, you can tweak your browser for that...
A request for the FAQ: if anyone's using Windows 98SE, and got the MPC USB connection working, can you let us know how you did it? It's been asked a coupla times, never really got or gave a good answer.
