Replace the mpd24 pads with mpc pads

Hello everybody.
I have an mpd 24 and I would like to change the pads with mpc pads that we can find on websites like mpcstuff.com.
Is there anyone who did that?

The pads are the same on the MPD24 as the MPC60, 2000, 2000XL, 3000, 2500 and 4000 so you should have no problem

Why would you wanna change the pads? I've never used the Mpd before but i imagine that changing the pads isnt going to effect the functionality of it. I could be wrong tho`.

As far as im aware the pads are the same...

I tried the mpd and the mpc and it's not the same feeling.
It's very close but not the same rubber
The mpc one is a little bit more hard and it gives a better feeling.
Maybee I'm wrong but I just want to know if it's possible

what mpc did u try it against? because there are alot.. and im sure they pads vary between the diff mpcs..

Often i see people in the forum talkin bout the pads being wack on certain mpc's and better on others.

So i would still asume they are the same, just as a diff model mpc to the one u tried it against

the pads soften up after a while

so I replace my pad and there is a subbtle difference.
I put mpc 2000 pad and it works very well.

So you actually exchanged your mpd24 pads with original mpc 2000 pads? I once openend up my mpd24 just to see what it looks like from the inside and it didn't look like I could just replace the set of pads that easily without destroying anything. How did you do it? Just wondering!

I'm used to open things (I've studied electronics for many years)
So I take my time to open it (u have to take care of the with plate cable that's going from inide the mpd to the screen, u have to pull the small black pieces on each side of the connector on the screen) and remove the cables from their connectors on the midi and usb small pcb.
So I can't give all the steps now but it took almost one hour between the opening and the remounting.
what i can say is too take your time and be carefull about the screws wich are not the same.

u shud do this a few times so u can do it real quick... like so quick u can do it hangin upside down blind folded and be able to finish bfor ur nose starts to bleed..... THEN record a tutorial, cuz i wana see how to do it, cuz if i jus go for.. well, ima have a broken MPD..THANKS
