Attach a midi synth and now the pads don't trigger?

So, I was getting ready for a jam last night and attached my Alesis Micron's midi (both in & out) to my 2500. I never did end up recording any midi, but did play some live basslines during the jam, and somehow... magically... even after disconnecting the midi and rebooting my 2500, I can't play sounds from the MPC's pads.

I *can* hear sounds when previewing from the Load menu, but no matter what program I load or however many times I reboot, I simply can't play from the pads anymore! I tried and I tried, but for the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong. Any suggestions?

I searched the forums here, but either this has never happened to anyone before (unlikely) or my search terms just aren't good (more likely). I have a gig in exactly a week, so I'd love to get this remedied asap

Ah well, I needed to work tonight so I just did a factory reset. All is well again
