MPC to Mac Mini - Getting a Humming Sound

I read through some other posts about recording problems but I still can't figure this one out...

I have my MPC connected into a line in on my Rane mixer. I have the Rane's master out connected to the line in on my Mac Mini. I am getting this pretty bad humming sound.

The MPC to the Rane sounds fine. So it's not that... When I unplug the line in my computer the hum is gone. When I unplug the MPC the hum is gone.

So which one is the culprit? I'm assuming it's the computer...

Any suggestions? I don't seem to remember having this problem before but I have only recorded twice with this Mac Mini and this is also the first time I have recorded with the MPC in the same room as the computer. Is the computer/monitor giving off some kind of radiation when close to the MPC?

Ground Loop problem....get a ground loop eliminator. If you have a Guitar Center or similar music shop in your area, just tell them you have a hummin sound, basically what you derscribed here, and the salesperson should be able to point you to the ground loop problem and recommend solutions.

dont think you should be using the line in on the mini. thats probably what it is
