How to change parameters? Please help!

When i turn on mpc 2000Xl i have tempo set at 120 bpm, two bars timing 1/16
and so.
My question is.
Can i make custom parameters and save them so when next time i turn on my mpc i will have tempo set at 99, and so on!

As far as I know that's what it's always gonna come up with when u turn it on since it's like a default.

U could make a program and save it with the parameters u want to use and load that up when u turn it on

I mean not load program!
I want to turn on mpc without ahy zips or floppy's, just like u start empty MPC with factory parameters, insead having my own parameters!

Yes you can. It's explained in the manual.

The classic resets to default each time it's turned on.The only way to get the seq info to stay customized is to make a seq file with the tempo and ect set and save it to the os disk.It's the same tech if you want to load up a program on startup.

I forget how i did it, but i changed my defaults. everytime i power on, it defaults to a 4 measure loop at 90bpm.
its in the manual somewhere

Wouldn't know.I only have the classic.

in the meantime, press 'open screen' (i think thts what the button is labeled) in every mode/screen until u figure it out.
