Is there a difference in sampling 45s and 33s?

Is there a difference in sampling 45s and 33s?

is there any difference in sampling a 45 compared to a 33? is the sound quality and different? what do u prefer to sample from i found a bunch of 45s on ebay but i dont know if i should buy them or not?

get all the 45s you can. records are records. I actually have a speical love for my 45s. :wink:

get those 45's! i ordered a bunch off ebay too!

they sound the same when you sample, but ive found theyre harder to scratch with just cause im not use to using such a small record, good records though!

45s are louder. i prefer them for some reason, not sure why.

I GOT ABOUT 2000+ 7"S AND I AINT GOT ENOUGH, sometimes you can find 7"OG quicker then you would a LP or 12".

good music is good music no matter what it may be 12" lp, or 7"45's

u can sample 33's at the speed of a 45 and tune it back down for a grittier sound!

but yes 45's are lovely. buy em up!

as pad said, 45s are louder, as they have wider grooves to create a larger signal amplitude. 45s are def. a cult though. I didn't get into it till I found a rare earth break on one of them, it was over after that.

45's are cool. However since they spin faster, if the record has a lot of static and/or is in poor condition it will sound a lot worse than a 12 inch. It's because you get close to twice as much opportunity for snaps crackles and pops to happen within the same amount of playing time. As for your question that is the ONE difference between sampling 45's and 12"s.

Also, you have more hopes of finding something rare and relatively unheard on 45.
