how shrill and hollow sounding the 1000's converters are.....
hers a comparison between my 1000 and s-50....
i recorded my s50 into my 1000's inputs, that makes a bit of a difference, but notice the low end on the s50, compared to how the 1000 takes away color from the low end..... and add it to the hi end........
these are taken from grover washingtons jr's feels so good album, the actual record not raer at all, recorded though a s35x needle, 1200, and rane 54
hope to get some other people to post, 950 files or s1000 or different samplers and see how that match up against the 1000...... which sounds really hollow......
edit..
i did eq around 2 or so for the lows and the hi, but regardless the same settings were used on both samples, meaning i sampled at the same mixer settings on both recordings....
