how do you control muting with q link sliders?

I saw antonym say he does his beats with for example kicks snares and his on the same track as its visual a lot easier to edit . He said he uses mute and q link slider to then mute the sounds . I tried searching on the forum and thinking about this but cant see ho wits down and it would be so usefull .


any ideas?

Qlink set to track volume i think.

or to pad volume

or to unassigned layers (or silent file assigned...)
