Transplanting a hard drive from a 2500

I'm getting my friend's harddrive from his MPC2500 with all his sounds and project files...will i need to reformat the drive?

I am on the latest JJ OS and his was the 1st or 2nd incarnation of the Akai OS for the 2500

the hard drive install went without a hitch. for the most part plug and play. i did not have to reformat and lose all the samples.

Thank you JJ. I will be selling my other samplers now because of your OS. It saves me time!

Okay. I reformatted the drive. Hopefully I won't have any problems. I remember losing work when we were using the Akai OS.
