Id like to know if there is a way to save the GM MIDI setup. I remember someone saying something like if you press main before you turn off the MPC that it saves your settings in like MIDI/SYNC and Others MODE. I know I can always go to my program and press the 35-98 button to set up the pgm Chromatically, but I'd just like to know if I can save this also. Cause I honesty dont understand why that is there if it is separate from the pgm MIDI assignment? And why cant I save it the way I have it setup?

Thanx yall

Never seen that page before.
It says "default assign", so if you create a new program this setup will be used.

Its separate from the program midi note assignment though. You can change the midi note assignment in your pgm and the one that im talking about wont/don't change unless you do it manually, but if you turn your MP off, it goes back to default, like there is no way to save what you did to that note assignment. Weird, cause if it serves no purpose than what is it there for?

i made a lot of midi prgs (scale, external synth, sampler etc) and saved this on the hd and assign them to "AUTOLOAD"
everytime i turn on my mp i have this settings.

try this!

I know what you mean. I do the same thing. I dont have a prob with redoin' the the midi notes evverytime. I barely even go into this mode, I just wanna know its purpose and if I can save the settings to it when I change it. I'm more curious than I am in need of help. Thanx to everyone who replied though.
