After you record your beat do you.....

I am using a Zoom MRS 802CD recorder. I was wondering, after you guys make your beat and record it do you mess around with the different settings that you recorder has? I mean, there are loads of different Insert Effects that I could use, but I'm thinking I want to keep the beat sounding like it did when I made it and recorded it. Or are there things you should do once you have recorded it to a track. Instinctively, I don't really want to mess around with it too much....but if there are some things that I should know I'd appreciate the feedback.

But I'll try to give you a proper answer:

It depends on the track. It depends on what you want from the track.. If you think the track is done then don't touch it. If you want to beef it up a little then try anything you think would suit the track..

But you can't really know what sounds good until you try it. And what sounds good to me might not sound good to you.. Know what I mean?


Besides, if it goes really wrong you can just record it again.

yes mustard, mayo, pickles. whatever you like. whatever "Tasts" good, or if your making a sandwich for a friend you have to ask your self what they like to eat. maby they dont even want a sandwich, maby they want some ribs, you never know. make sure not to make the same food every day cuz youl get board

After a proper mixing, no need to mix it somemore less that was your original plan from the start

Yes I do. I like to see what would happen if I do this. That's me. I like to think I am like that guy painting every saturday morning. Calm Down Ron. He never looses his cool. That big black mark right down the center becomes this phat tree well positioned. I also learned making beats from him. He thinks out side my box. I want the guts to try new thing.
Remember you asked do we mess around so, Yes I do! In cooking recipes say season to taste.
