MPD24 with S3000 combo?

Hi ppl,

sorry if this is irrelevant to this section but didn't know where to post it.

Anyway, I got a simple question: is it possible to control the s3000 or any other of the Akai samplers with an MPD24? cause I was thinking like, that if it's possible then you could get a strange MPC-like workstation out of this combo.

No you can't, because you're still missing a sequencer.

How about a grabbing a simple sequencer and hook it up right in the middle?

Or even more better: how about grabbing an ASR X and throw it in the middle (not sure though if that thing could work together with the MPD24 for controlling it and the s3000 for triggering sounds)?

or you could midi the s3000 into the mpd 24 and usb the mpd 24 into the comp and record via cubase or live or sonar or reaper or flstudio or acid or reason or someother thingggggggggggggggggggggggggggg *now read that in song formmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Anyway, I was thinking about staying on the hardware side to keep that grimmy sound. Still, I think that this combo is a cheap way to get our hands on some phat sounds. Anyone else tried some other combos?
