When I take a sample that I've chopped to 16 levels it sequences it by changing the speed of the sample to change it pitch. How do I change the pitch of a sample without changing the speed of the sample so that that I can keep it at the right bpm no matter which key I play it in.

I have a 2kxl...not expanded.

you can use an audio editor to change the key of the sample without affecting the bpm.

something like adobe audition

i'd just use soundforge man, i think it would be pretty tricky on an mpc, well on a (500) anyway, i dontknow about a 2kxl.
