By I dont have a mpc

ok i read alot about my mpc 2000
and i got the manuel
can you guys point me to a accurate tutorial about the mpc 2000 and how to work it
ive yet to figure this out
when i hit shift then #9 = disk it just takes me to the sounds i have on the disk it tells me nothing about sending those sounds to the 16 pads then sequencing them at all
can any of you point me to a mpc 2000 tutorial please cause its been about 2 months and i still dont know how to work this ****
and also how do you know how much memory you have
cause when i bought it off of ebay it said 32 megs and when i try to do actions it sais not enough memory
