double hits

yea im pretty much new to all this shit
i just got an mpc2000xl and im having abit of troubles with double hits

like ive cut up alot of drum hits (kicks, snare & a few rides)..

and just playing around and hitting out the beats.. i keep getting double hits when i hit them once..

why is this?

and is there a way to stop it

also a way to set the pads so if i do hit it twice it doesnt play the whole thing over on itself

check velocity but naw bro happends to alot of peps just gota learn how to hit dem pads its easy for the pad to catch your finger twice and double hit get use to it practice hit those pads peace

to help it not sound twice u can turn the note off for the pad by going to the program then params screen.

you'd have to hold the pad til the sample played thru

change the params to mono instead of poly. That and just in time you will learn to hit the pads with more accuracy.
