I don't know what the problem is, it was working just fine the other day. Today is Sunday the 19th, about 9:53 in the morn, and my MPC seems to have passed on to another life yesterday around 7:30 PM, the time i turned it on to go to work. The last time i used it before that was Thursday evening, everything was working just fine at that time. The issue is this, i load up sounds, about 5 to 6 programs, but when i go back to the main screen and hit the pads---NOTHING! No sounds, no hits, no blips, no nothing. So my first thought is that the pads were completely gone on this thing, but, i used it just yesterday once i couldn't get any internal sounds to work to completely sequence my Proteus, no problems with that at all. So i now know it's not a problem with the pads, but something internal on the MP. I'm currently running OS 3.06. If anyone has any idea as to what the issue may be, i would greatly appreciate any help/suggestions as to how to remedy this life altering event, i would be highly greatful to you... Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the "pad to internal sound" setting has been turned to off:

01. Select the MIDI/SYNC mode by pressing the [MODE]
key and hitting the [PAD 9] (MIDI/SYNC).
02. Press the [F1] (MIDI) key.
03. Select the “Pad to internal sound” field and use the
DATA wheel to select “ON” .
