I'm trying to track out my 8-outs for a remix... I've mixed the beat in the stereo drum mix in the 60. I only want like 5 tracks, bass, melody, kick, snare and hihat. So i want to keep the volume settings i have from the stereo mix. I have assigned the different sounds to its outputs, and set the volume for the 8-outs at the same levels as the stereo mix, but the sounds still comes out with a volume:100! it doesn't matter if I change the volume in the indv out assign mix, the volume wont change! How do I change the volume of the 8-outs?

The volume setting on the individual outs are only used to send the signal to the echo send output. I never have used fx hooked up to the mpc this way, but it can also be used as another individual out. Although the level is a little lower than the ind. outs. They're 0db and the echo send is -1.5db.

So anything you assign to an individual out, its automatically at 100% volume.

the 8 outs is intended for running it into an external mixer to eq and such. if you are running it into your computer or multitrack, just adjust the individual input levels to get the mix you wanted. or you can record everything in at full volume and then mix what you recorded.
