2500 with motif rack es

Waddup Fam,
hope you can help me.
i have a 2500 and i wanna hook this up with a motif rack es.
i go into the midi in and out A but but cannot get no sound at all despite making all the correct settings.

can anyone help me with this connection problem pleaee?

What Mode are you in on Motif? What is the midi rX channel set to?

More infomation / specifics req'd.

If you have no midi keyboard, then hook up the MIDI OUT of the MPC into the MIDI IN of the Motif-Rack ES. And of the main screen of your MPC, turn on the "Midi:" field to "1A".

In the Motif's "MULTI" mode 1A, 2A, 3A... will control all the channels of the rack.

Yeah midiout A on MPC, midi in on Motif. MultiMode on Motif. MPC set to track 1, midi, and channel 1A. Its the Love Movement once you get it working. Having a midi keyboard running into the MPC gives you keyboard control of Motif and MPC if you need it. Its the hotness.

i have this exact same setup plus a midi keyboard. get a controller so you'll be able to lay down some chords.

the final part of the chain is my USB midi keyboard (evolution MK249C) which i cant seem to get working.
do i need a seperate power supply for this or can i work with this through the Computer with USB.
i've plug into midi in A but dont get nuthin?
what am i not doing.

any suggestions?

Midi keyboard midi out, into MPC midi in 1

MPC midi out A, into Motif midi in

You can go into the MPC midi function page, pad 9 and refer to page 53 of the manual for settings. I think its OmniA and soft thru off to use Multi-Mode in the Motif. When you change tracks, you also change to the next sound in the multi that corresponds to that track. Some midi keyboards won't send midi data to both the USB and midi port on the keyboard unless you tell it to. Some will only go to USB if its plugged into the computer and will only go to the midi port if the USB isn't plugged in. Some have a selector switch. You have to read all the manuals though to really learn your gear and to get the most out of it. We can only give you the basics. One.

Its the Love Movement once you get it working.

I can oficially report that the love movement is in motion and i am very grateful for all a yall's help and advice.
im bout to put down the manuals now,do some digging and make some beats.
