Qustion about the record in.

Hey ya'all, been reading for years and enjoy all the great information I've learned with out having to post, but here is my thing.
I just scored a beautiful, rarely used 3000, and the record in is not working. Trust me I've tried everything. I am not a beginner to this thing, and I know all the connections are good. I even hooked up my 2Kxl and was able to record, but when I plug the 1/4 inch back into the in on my 3000, NOTHING. Not even static. Has anyone had this problem? Hopefully an easy fix? Any and all suggestions please!

Might sound silly, but is the input set to analog on the sample menu?

You could always sample in digital if everything else fails, you'd only need a nice stereo preamp with a digital SPDIF output board, hopefully you'll get even better results than the ordinary REC in.

yeah, man.... I've tried everything. Analog, Digital, Name it.... I opened her up to take a peek inside to see if anything out of the ordinary, but nothing. Took off the board that houses all the inputs and everything looks good. No clue. Thanks.
