I read somewhere in this forum that using HD disks can lead to your drive failing, and that sometimes the disks dont save or load properly.

I've used HD disks for a long ass time...no problems here...you just gotta use the "tape trick" and your set! I have no idea how using HD disks would mess up your drive!..a disk is a disk is a disk!WTF?! :)

do yourself a favor and DONT USE HD DISKS IN AN MPC60 FLOPPY DRIVE!!!

and please...

do us ALL a favor and READ THE DAMM MPC60 FAQ/ MPC60 BIBLE STICKIED AT THE TOP OF THE FRONT PAGE OF THIS VERY MPC60 FORUM... this and dozens of other topics/questions are answered and touched on in that thread... READ THE WHOLE THREAD, the knowledge in that thread alone is worth a fortune to the dedicated 60 user...

^perhaps it causes problems with OG 60 floppy drives (if you have one that still works kudos to you!).

however, if you have a newer drive, by all means, go ahead and use the tape over the hole trick. my teac works fine without any errors.
